Solid State Hard Drives

Toshiba to start manufacturing solid state hard drives for notebooks

These hard drives use NAND flash memory instead of the rotating magnetic storage discs.

Toshiba said that the initial models would be available in capacities of 32GB, 64GB and 128GB.

The company added that they would begin production of module SATA drives in the first three months of next year.

They are also going to showcase these drives at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
